Tough start to life in U13 Division 2. Corkbeg started the stronger and had the majority of the possession, but couldn't break down a strong Corinthian defence.
Kai Adediji was getting plenty of the ball, but couldnt get through on goal. Rory Casey had a chance, but couldn't get his shot off quick enough and Ronan Callanan had 2 shots blocked in quick succession. Bobby Creedon also had a shot skip past the post. It remained 0-0 at half time.
Corinthians came out strong in the second half, and were rewarded with a goal. The ball broke at the edge of the Corkbeg box and a hopeful shot looped in over Sean Walsh in goals. Corkbeg battled well for the remainder of the half but conceded again from a quick counter attack by Corinthians.
Corkbeg play Douglas Hall next in the league which will be another tough game.
